Gates and Borders

To keep camp safe and secure, protect scouters, the community, and the beautiful natural land of Camp Cowles, it’s important to secure the camps gates and borders so the camp is used safely and with permission.

The Cowles signs, gates and fences are all very old and have not had much attention over many years. Camp Master, Carbon and Finch Gates were rebuilt and the improvements of the Finch Beach fencing continue. The cable gate and posts around the large Fosseen area have been securely reestablished. A lake resident on Bayview has made new entrance signs for the camp.

It is important for Coles to remain a clean and serviceable camp for the community that supports it. Tons of amazing volunteers have supported this effort and some of their work can be seen below!
