Finch Waterfront dock upgrades

Completion of all 14 components of the large main swimming and paddling docks were fully rebuilt and operational for summer. Docks rebuilt over 6+ weekends over three years by Cowles Advisory Committee Dock Team and multiple Troops. We were guided by Tom VandeVanter and Jim Groh and two additional commercial-grade dock builders in this endeavor.   These docks will now last decades into the future!

Additionally, one additional large dock platform was built in partnership with the Friends of Diamond Lake Foundation.  This dock forms the large end piece and extends out to the deepest water for fishing and swimming.  Some massive fish have been hauled in off the dock this summer.   This dock can be separated and towed and has multiple purposes for shared use between the Scouts and the Friends of Diamond Lake.

The funding for these docks came from the INWC Foundation and a grant from Spokane Valley Scout Fund.
